Fingal Beaches

Come and  and visit Fingal's magnificent beaches but make sure your visit is a and enjoyable one. Always pour cold water on BBQ when you're finished cooking. Put it safety in the bin or take it home you.     Alcohol is not allowed on our beaches. Drinking alcohol can create a nuisance a tot of titter on our beaches. Please don't bring alcohol to the beach.     Please keep dogs under control. 168 million litres of water are produced at Leixtip water treatment plant every day_ Despite this, water restrictions may have to be introduced this summer to make sure that everyone has enough water during the day. Pressure may be reduced at night in some areas, ,when demand is lowest, to allow reservoirs to fill. • Using only the water we need and reducing the water we waste, will dramatically affect the demand on water supplies. Follow these simple water saving tips: • DO NOT stockpile water by filling baths • Keep a JUG of water in the fridge Use a BASIN to clean fruit and vegetables • Use a BUCKET to wash your car and windows • NEVER hose your garden when supplies are restricted • FIX leaking taps and TURN OFF your supply if you have a burst pipe Use your washing machine and dishwasher only when they are FULL • DON'T leave the tap running when you wash your teeth December 2010 water restrictions around Swords.
