Carnegie Court Hetel

Velvet Nightclub is attached to The Carnegie Court Hotel and is situated on North Street Swords. The club is open Friday, Saturday Sunday and Wednesday. The Wednesday club is Students night out where all drinks are cheaper that weekends. The club attracts a mainly young crowd between the ages of 18 to 25. It's free in before 12 midnight and also with a concession ticket. The nightclub is an underground dance hall and forms part of where the underground car park was. The hotel is an excellent starting point to tour Fingal.

Located 10 mins. walk to the main street. Shuttle bus to the airport which cost 5 euro each. Taxi to the airport cost around 10 euro and will leave you at the main terminal building, the shuttle bus drops you in the car park about 5 min. walk to the terminal. No bar.

I have seen many hotel websites that include Swords in their listing that give false information about the town and it's proximity to Dublin City. Swords is located 8 miles / 13 Km for Dublin City and not 10 Min's. from Swords to City on the train from Swords. Swords has no train service. Travelling from Swords to Dublin City can take anything from 20 Min's. by car to 40 Min's. depending on what time you leave during the day. Travelling to Dublin City by Dublin Bus will usually take an hour.
