The Lord Mayors pub is situated on Main Street at the junction of Forrest Road, the pub was formally O'Tooles which was
run and owned by Pat and Sadie O'Toole. It's now owned by J.C. Savage who also owns the off licence next door. The pub caters
for a mixed crowd but mainly the over 30 age group. It was once known throughout Dublin as a great spot for live music with
lots of rock bands getting their first gig at The Lord Mayors. The pub still does well and boast a fine function room upstairs
where the bands used to play. When taken over originally by J.C there was a ballad session every Sunday night in the cellar
bar.
There is traditional music every Sunday afternoon starting around 4 P.M which draws a big
crowd. It's great to see traditional music still being supported by a few publicans, long may it continue as this is
part of the Irish pub scene and Irish culture for generations. The Thursday night bands are now back-Function
room available for parties. Live music Saturday nights-Dart Board in the bar. - food served all day.
There's
plenty of car parking places at the back of the pub on Church Road. No charge for customers using the pub. Over 100 spaces,
in fact it's the largest pub car park in Swords.
