Birthday Baloons

Here's a guide to make your mind up as to the location to host your party in Swords. Depending on the number of guests you want to invite. The largest venues of any town will normally by the local G.A.A. clubs. There are two in Swords which can cater for a large gathering of party guests.

The first is Colmcilles G.A.A. club in Balheary which has a large hall which can hold up to 250 guests, there are full bar facilities but you may want to arrange your own catering or the club will be able to recommend a good catering company. Bar extention may also be available up to 2Am.

The second G.A.A. club capable of hosting a large party is Fingallians Club located on Estury Road Swords. The club has a large hall which can hold over 300 party guests, again there are full bar facilities in the function room.

The Wright Venue in Airside also host private parties, there are several options here as there are at least four lounges available. It would be best to have your party on a midweek as The Wright Venue is turns into a dance hall on the weekend. Full bar also available here.

The Lord Mayors on Main Street also has a funtion room up stairs which is popular with hosting all kinds of events. A bar extention may be available on request, the loung holds over 100 people. check out The Mayors Pub

The Pound pub on Bridge Street also hosts parties in it's up stairs lounge, it's a plesent location with friendly staff, The Pound lounge can hold over 100 people and also provides food.

Remember there's no point having a large hall/lounge if you plan to invite only 50 guests, it's best to choose your venue which will best suit the number of people attending. If you'd like to have a D.J. or band for the big night the pub will usually be ably to provide them or you can hire your own.
