The Pound Pub Swords

The Pound bar and upstarze lounge is located on Bridge Street, Downstairs is the bar with the snug, music sessions are played in the bar and snug weekends. ''Upstairz'' is the lounge with the crowd being aged from 21 to 30, and background music most nights, this pub has great atmosphere throughout with friendly bar staff, food served all day, be careful in the snug that you don't get a belt of a golf ball,

The Pound is renowned for it's mighty pint of Guinness which is priced reasonably. The name of the pub comes from the piece of land to the right of The Pound which used to be used as a holding area for stray animals. Function room upstairs for parties. where an open mic session takes place some Thursdays. [ ask at bar for the times ] If you'd like to take part and can sing a song or recite a poem then the Pound is the place for you for the open mic. nights.

There's no car parking associated with this pub. You can either park in the Castle Shopping Centre across the road and pay a small charge during day time [ free at night time ] or you can park on the main street where it's pay and display during day time and free after 7pm.
