Train Service Between Malahide And Swords
Toots, the Malahide Road train is going to expand it's service to Swords later in 2014. Michael Place
who owns the service has bought a second train to serve the new route.
The service has already proven very popular taking passengers around the tourist
spots of Malahide over the last few years.
The new train will be electric and brought in from America and will run from the Robyn's Nest Cookery School in the
town centre mall to Malahide train station where passengers can opt to hook up with Toots and continue their journey to Malahide
Castle.
As well
as linking popular tourists destinations in Swords and Malahide it is hoped the new venture will also bring increased footfall
to the town centre mall in Swords. The new train will be called ''Toots-E'' but we will offer
it out to schools to re-name it said Mr. Place. These ''Road Trains'' are popular because they provide low cost high quality
transport for passengers.
Below Is A Message From Michael Hi Guys, please see photo of
Toots E train proposed and note that vehicle will be fitted with doors central locking and each carriage will be designed
with a Swan Motif on sides to represent the Broadmeadows Estuary Route. It is hoped that the proposal can supported by all
and introduced late June 2014. Our aim is to promote the heritage & commerce of both communities and to include Malahide
& Swords Castles to a list of attractions alongside the Guinness Brewery for all who visit Dublin. By having Malahide/Portmarnock/Swords
combined as an offer of fully accessible Novel transport service. And lastly but most importantly, we aim to win the hearts
and minds of the families with a low cost high quality service that will include in carriage audio visuals including the Children
of Lir and promotion of our heritage and business. At 45kph you will find we will not be a burden to those traveling in
our direction however we must allow small children and international Tourism full access to our Estuary and its wildlife. Please
help support our little venture and we look forward to presenting in detail through the Chamber of Fingal very soon. FB
