Silence fills the household and the candle in the window
Show the presents that are scattered round
the tree
Nothing to be heard because all children are asleep
And wrapped in their little beds so cosily

Very soon they will awake to find
Joseph and Mary make their way to find a manger

to wrap their little infant in the hay
He’s just been born and is the son of God

Breathing animals to keep him warm
