Hymn To A Special Man Song Lyrics. This song was written by Angela Koch as a tribute to this website, Angela puts her feeling into words to show here apprecation for the work that's gone into making the site. But I can't take all the praise, many others have contributed their time and lots of effort into making the site what it is today. Angela herself has also lent a hand and has put chords to most of the Seamus Moore song. It's amazing considering only a few years ago Angela had not even heard of Seamus Moore or most of the other singers featured on the site.

I came to your site – in spring last year
never thought – that such a thing exists.
I was a beginner – and that’s what I’m still
but you made me going on with it.

It started with a CD I bought on a trip
with twenty brilliant Irish songs
I couldn’t understand all the words nor slang
so I had a look in the web”.

One day I stumbled into “u-nitedireland”
your site filled with such a lot of songs.
I found what I looked for and to my surprise
most of them showed easy-to-play chords.

After more than two decades I took my guitar
not only to clean it from dust
And now – to my husbands and  childrens “sorrow”
to play it each day is a “must”!

Luke Kelly, Mary Black,
The Fury Brothers, Seamus Moore.
They all have been strangers to me
as well as Christy Moore

All I remember, Whiskey in the jar,
The Boys of Killybegs,
The First Tuesday, Bright Blue Rose
your webpage offers a mass

Your site has become a juwel, a gem
I think it’s really unique.
Thanks for doing this fine work
providing us with wonderful music.
