Buachaill On Eirne lyrics, guitar chords and sheet music notes. Tin whistle video included to help you learn the tune. A traditional song . by The Corrs. Remember that The Corrs were a folk group before they went pop, and it stood to them well, once you get ''The Ballad Bug'' it never leaves you. This song was recently recorded by Celtic Thunder. This tune was used for the song ''Come By The Hills''. The sheet music is in the key of G Major while the chords within the lyrics are in D.

[D]Buachaill ón[G] Eirne mé's[D] bhréagfainn féin[G] cailín deas[D] óg
Né iarfainn bó[G] spré léithe[D] tá mé saibhir go[A] leor

'S mur[D] n-athraí mé[G] béasaí 's mé n'[D] t-oibhr ar [G]Chontae Mhaigh[D] Eo

Rachaidh mé márach a dhéanamh leanna fan choill
Gan coite gan bád gan Gráinnin brach ar bith liom
Ach builliúr na gcraobh mar éideadh leapa ós mo choinn
S' óró sheacht mh'anam déag thú's tú féachaint orm anall

Buchailleacht bó mo leo nár chleacht mise ariamh
Ach ag imirt's ag ól's le hogmhná deasa fá shliabh
Má chaill mé mo stór ní do gur chaill mé mo chiall
A's ni mó liom do phóg ná'n bhróg atá'r caitheamh le bliain

'A chuisle's a stor ná pós an seanduine leath
Ach pos a' fear og mo leo mur' maire sé ach bliain
Nó beidh tú go fóill gan ó nó mac ós do chionn
A shileadh na ndeor trathnóna nó'r maidin go trom

Buachaill ón Éirne Music Notes

There a very slight difference to the notes I'm playing on the whistle compared to the way the sheet music is written. If we all played a tune the same way life would be pretty boring. Make the song your own, play around with it and do it your way, but always remember to keep the main melody intact.
The following notes are what I'm playing, the bold one's are the high D's and E's.
B A B A G E D D E G A G
D G A B C# B A B A G E G B A
B C# D B A G A B C D E D B G A
G A B A B A G E D D D E G A G
