No Time To Say Goodbye Lyrics And Chords by Ron Rackley-Here is another song I have taken from life.In the war years when London was being bombed night and day,the Blitz it was called, the British Government decided to evacuate all the
children out of the city and into the country to foster parents away from the bombing,I was six years old and my Wife was only four.Well us kids all thought it was a great adventure, getting on a steam train for the
first time and going who knows where!. But many years later when I was a grown man with my ow n kids I realised how hard it must have been  for our parents saying goodbye and not knowing where we would end
up and with whom, and would maybe  never see us again as they could be killed on the next raid. This is written from my wif'e Mum's standpoint as she was saying goodbye to her little four year old baby,as the song
say's was born in September, and it was a grey day in September that that she was leaving

(C) There’s no time to say (Dm) goodbye (G7) no time to hold  you (C) near,

Time for you to (Dm) go (G7) time for me to shed a (C) tear.

(C)Now I fell September (Dm) rain (G7)and my heart feels only (C) pain, grey clouds

Filling all the (Dm) sky (G7) there’s no time to say (C) goodbye.

(Dm)I remember  past September and the(C) day that you were born (Dm) and the

Happiness we knew (Am) as we shared our love with (G7) you,

(C)As the train takes you (Dm) away (G7) so many words I have to (C) say (C) but I

Just stand here and (Dm)cry (G7) there’s no time to say (C) goodbye.

(C)When these dark days are all (Dm) gone (G7) and I hold you close to (C) to me

(C)Sunshine filling all the (Dm) sky (G7) we wont have to say (C) goodbye.

(Dm)We wont have to(G7) say (C) goodbye (Dm)we wont need the time to (G7)say (C) goodbye
