The Rose Tin Whistle Sheet Music Notes. Bette Midler. Written by Amanda McBroom. I worked this one out on a D whistle. Also recorded by Westlife. I have included a youtube video showing how to play along. I must admit this was one of the easiest songs I ever played on the whistle, probably because the first and second lines are exactly the same. It's a lovely little song with a beautiful simple melody and a great song for beginners.  The guitar chords are also included to go along with the whistle notes.

The Rose Tin Whistle Notes

here's The letter notes which are suitable for all musical
instruments. For example if your a recorder player
you just have to follow the notes I'm playing on the
whistle as the finger position is the very same.
G       A     B     B  c  B B A
Some say love, it is a river
A     G          G    A  B    B
That drowns the tender reed.
G        A    B     B  c  B B A
Some say love, it is a razor
A      G        G      A    B  B
That leaves your soul to bleed.
B        c     d      d  d  d d  G
Some say love, it is a hunger,
B   c   B       A  G   E-D
An endless aching need.
G A   B     B  c B B   A
I say love, it is a flower,
A    G    G   A G  G
And you its only seed.

These notes are the same as what's in the sheet music above.
